To support geographical queries within the OpenDataCommunities SPARQL endpoint, we have made a copy of relevant data from the Ordnance Survey Linked Data site. For definitive information on these regions, you should consult the OS site directly. This partial copy was taken in March 2012.
The data from Ordnance Survey has been supplemented by our own cross-links from OS geographical areas to DCLG local authority identifiers.
This is a linked data resource: it has a permanent unique uri at which both humans and machines can find it on the Internet, and which can be used an identifier in queries on our SPARQL endpoint.
Linked Data is stored in graphs. We keep dataset contents (the data) separately from the metadata, to make it easier for you to find exactly what you need.
