These former local authority districts appear in some statistical datasets of the DCLG, but are sufficiently old that they do not have an ONS 'SNAC' code. Other more recent, but now defunct, local authority districts - for example those which disappeared in the 2009 reforms of local government - do have SNAC codes and appear in the [Administrative Geography Dataset](http://opendatacommunities.org/datasets/administrative-geography). xsd:string
