Description

This dataset comprises the changes in dwelling supply components of the net housing supply for England.

*Change of use: This is the changing of a non-residential dwelling to residential use, or changing a residential building to non-residential use. This would include, for example, a shop converted into a flat, a barn conversion or a house converted to an office. Following reforms to permitted development rights in May 2013, there are now temporary rights that allow offices to change to residential use, subject to prior approval being granted by a local authority (certain areas are exempt from this right following a national exemption exercise).

*Conversion: A conversion is the conversion of one dwelling into multiple dwellings - such as splitting a house in to several flats, or vice versa. England figures for the components of net housing supply up to 2011/12 are derived from Live Table 120.

The net additions component flows by local authority district, England are derived from Live Table 123, which contains figures from 2012/13 onwards.

This slice of multidimensional data is not a Linked Data resource in the database: it's a virtual resource (i.e. you can't query it by SPARQL). But does have a permanent unique URL which can be bookmarked.
